It's Not A Tax!!!

That is what the Obama Administration Regime is crying now about the Healthcare Law.  The Supreme Court ruled that the Mandate was not a mandate but a tax, therefore making the law legal, but the Obama Regime doesn't like the word tax.  Therefore King Barack the First has decreed that the tax is back to being a penalty.

The White House argued on Friday that the individual mandate at the heart of Obamacare is a penalty, not a tax, contradicting the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling a day earlier upholding the historic health care law. But if it is a tax, blame Mitt Romney, spokesman Jay Carney suggested.

"It's a penalty, because you have a choice. You don't have a choice to pay your taxes, right?" Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One. President Barack Obama was on his way to Colorado to view the response to the worst wildfires in the state's history.

In any case, Carney said, the penalty "is modeled exactly on the penalty that exists in the health care reform that was promoted and signed into law by Governor Romney in Massachusetts."

Republicans pounced Thursday on Chief Justice John Roberts's ruling that the Affordable Care Act passed constitutional muster as a legitimate exercise of Congress's power to levy taxes.

Roberts wrote that the law "makes going without insurance just another thing the government taxes, like buying gasoline or earning an income." His words offered Republicans disappointed by the ruling something of a political silver lining: They have been hitting the law as a vast tax hike and clearly plan to do so through to the election.

"You can call it what you want," Carney said, underlining Congressional Budget Office estimates that whatever you call it will affect only 1 percent of Americans. "It is not a broad-based tax." "One percent of the population. One percent. You can call it what you want, but it is affecting 1 percent of the population. Because most people either have health insurance or people do the responsible thing and if they can afford health insurance they will purchase it," the spokesman said.

"For those who can afford health insurance, but choose to remain uninsured, forcing the rest of us to pay for their care, a penalty is administered," Carney said.

Once again Obama is trying to spin everything to fit his needs, his wants.  But the truth is that Obamacare's Mandate is a tax.  He swore up and down that it isn't a tax:

Affordable?  NO!  Tax increase?  YES!!!  And is the President of the United States a LIAR?   YES!!!!!!!!

Shall we remove Obama from office November?   YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Murfreesboro School Board Denial

In response to the accusations brought forth by Eric Allen Bell, the Murfreesboro School Board has issued the below statement in regards to communications with the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.

Statement concerning student religious activities
June 27, 2012
A few concerned residents contacted Rutherford County Schools on June 27, 2012, after hearing a discussion on a Nashville radio station. No one from the school district heard the radio program directly and so exactly what was said cannot be confirmed.

However, the discussion apparently referenced students practicing religious activities at school with an accusation that the school district allowed some students but not others to exercise their religious rights.  Apparently, there also was a claim that the district had received a list of demands for Muslim students from the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.

Rutherford County Schools is releasing this statement to hopefully address rumors concerning this topic.

First, the school district is not aware of anyone receiving any written communication directly from the Islamic Center. However, several principals have reported they received an e-mail from a person named Eric Bell that accuses the school district of receiving and disseminating information from the Islamic Center. Mr. Bell’s email does include an attached informational document from the Islamic Center. But again, this document was not received directly from the Islamic Center; it came from Mr. Bell.

However, the school district routinely receives informational literature about religions from various groups, including Christian, Jewish and legal organizations. Students of all religions are allowed to exercise their first amendment rights by practicing religious activities or participating in religious clubs at school as long as those activities are student-initiated.

Below is the text of an e-mail reportedly sent to the school  board by Abdulrahman Kattih (mosque organizer)

Dear Mrs. McCloud

We spoke a couple of weeks ago about sending you an informative newsletter to
distribute to the principles in the Rutherford county schools to tell them about
the Muslim students in the area, the newsletter has some information to help
better understand and deal with the Muslim students.
We estimate that there are over 300 Muslim students in the county and we are
looking forward to working with the Rutherford county Board of education to help; integrate them better and be understood better in the schools they attend.

We are hoping to forward the attached flyer to the principles and ask if they
may share with the teacher when needed. We will be delighted to provide printed
 copies if needed.

Please feel free to email or call me with any questions.

It Is A Basic Fact

Hat Tip To Crusader Rabbit

‘The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.

In fact, it’s now running ads across the U.S.  to encourage more use of food stamps.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.”

The stated reason for the policy is because the animals soon grow dependent on handouts, forget how to fend for themselves, and starve to death if nobody is there to feed them.

Thus endeth today’s lesson.’

I don’t know the source of this. It arrived by email with no source attributed.

Thought For The Day.

So according to the Supreme Court, we can now force people to buy and own guns by simply calling it a "tax".

Finally a victory for the 2nd Amendment!

THE FIGHT IS ON!!!!

Taxed For Living

That is the ruling of the Supreme Court.  Today in a 5-4 decision, the US Supreme Court just told the citizens of the United States that they not only must buy health insurance, but if they don't they will be taxes for the crime of living.
The Supreme Court has upheld the centerpiece of President Obama's health care overhaul, in effect allowing the law to survive.

In a 5-4 decision unveiled Thursday, the court ruled as constitutional the so-called individual mandate requiring most Americans to obtain health insurance starting in 2014.

The ruling is a victory for the president, ensuring for now that his signature domestic policy achievement remains intact.

It also ensures that the law will play a prominent role in the general election campaign, as Republican candidate Mitt Romney vows to repeal the law if elected.

Chief Justice John Roberts, who was appointed during a Republican administration, joined the four left-leaning justices on the bench in making the decision.

The ruling relied on a technical explanation of how the individual mandate could be categorized. Roberts, in the opinion, said the mandate could not be upheld under the Constitution's Commerce Clause. However, it could be upheld under the government's power to tax.

"The Affordable Care Act is constitutional in part and unconstitutional in part The individual mandate cannot be upheld as an exercise of Congress's power under the Commerce Clause," Roberts wrote. "That Clause authorizes Congress to regulate interstate commerce, not to order individuals to engage it. In this case, however, it is reasonable to construe what Congress has done as increasing taxes on those who have a certain amount of income, but choose to go without health insurance. Such legislation is within Congress's power to tax."

The clock is reset.  It is 2010 once again.  It is time to get out, vote the Donkeycrats out of office, vote Barack Hussein Obama out of office.  That is the only way to repeal this monstrosity of a bill.

We can now expect higher premiums.  Few doctors practicing, fewer new doctors.  We can now expect Obama and the left go farther and demand a single payer system.  G-d forbid that ever happens.

We need to get angry.  Angry enough to go to the polls.  We need to be so angry that this will be the last hurrah for Obama and the Donkeycrats!

Muslim Persecution of Christians: May 2012

Unlike those nations, such as Saudi Arabia, that have eliminated Christianity altogether, Muslim countries with significant Christian minorities saw much persecution during the month of May: in Egypt, Christians were openly discriminated against in law courts, even as some accused the nation's new president of declaring that he will "achieve the Islamic conquest of Egypt for the second time, and make all Christians convert to Islam;" in Indonesia, Muslims threw bags of urine on Christians during worship; in Kashmir and Zanzibar, churches were set on fire; and in Mali, Christianity "faces being eradicated."
Elsewhere in sub-Saharan Africa—in Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, the Ivory Coast—wherever Islam and Christianity meet, Christians are being killed, slaughtered, beheaded and even crucified.
Categorized by theme, May's assemblage of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes, but is not limited to, the following accounts, listed in alphabetical order by country, not severity. Note: As Pakistan had the lion's share of persecuted Christians last month, it has its own section below, covering the entire gamut of persecution—from apostasy and blasphemy to rape and forced conversions.

Church Attacks

Indonesia encountered several church-related attacks:
  • A mob of 600 Muslims threw bags of urine, stones, and rotten eggs at the congregation of a Protestant church at the start of Ascension Day service; they shouted profanities and threatened to kill the pastor. No arrests were made. The church had applied for a permit to construct its house of worship five years ago. Pressured by local Muslims, the local administration ordered the church shut down in December 2009, even though the Supreme Court recently overruled its decision, saying that the church was eligible for a permit. Local Muslims and officials are nevertheless demanding that the church shut down.
  • After protests "by hard-line groups including the Islamic Defenders Front," nearly 20 Christian houses of worship were sealed off by authorities on the pretext of "not having permits." The authorities added that, to accommodate the region's 20,000 Christians, only one church may be built in the district in question.
  • The Muslim mayor who illegally sealed the beleaguered GKI Yasmin church, forcing congregants to worship in the streets, has agreed to reopen it—but only if a mosque is built next door, to ensure that the church "stays in line." "As well as opposition from the mayor, the church has faced hostility from local Muslims, who have rallied against them [the Christians], blocked them from accessing the street where the church is situated and disrupted their outdoor services. It is unlikely that they will suddenly embrace the Christians," according to the report.
France: Prior to celebrating mass, "four youths, aged 14 to 18, broke into the Church of St. Joseph, before launching handfuls of pebbles at 150 faithful present at the service." They were chased out, although, according to the report, "the parishioners, many of whom are elderly, were greatly shocked by the disrespectful act of the youths of North African origin."
Kashmir: A Catholic church made entirely of wood was partially destroyed after unknown assailants set it on fire. "What happened," said the president of the Global Council of Indian Christians, "is not an isolated case," and follows the "persecution" of a pastor who baptized Muslims. "With these gestures, the Muslim community is trying to intimidate the Christian minority."
Kuwait: Two months after the Saudi Grand Mufti decreed, in response to a question on whether churches may exist in Kuwait, that all regional churches must be destroyed, villa-churches serving Western foreigners are being targeted. One congregation was evicted without explanation "from a private villa used for worship gatherings for the past seven years;" another villa-church was ordered to "pay an exorbitant fine each month to use a facility it had been renting…. Church leaders reportedly decided not to argue and moved out."
Zanzibar: Hundreds of Muslims set two churches on fire and clashed with police during protests against the arrest of senior members of an Islamist movement known as the Association for Islamic Mobilization and Propagation. Afterwards, the group issued a statement denying any involvement of wrongdoing.

Pakistan: Apostasy, Blasphemy, Rape, Forced Conversions, and Oppression
  • A 20-year-old Christian man was arrested and charged with "blasphemy"—a crime "punishable with life imprisonment"—after vengeful Muslims accused him of burning a Koran soon after a billiard game. The Muslims kept taunting and threatening him, to which the Christian "dared them to do whatever they wanted and walked away." Days later came the accusation and arrest, which caused Muslim riots, creating "panic among Christians," who "left their houses anticipating violence."
  • Two years ago, after a Muslim man converted to Christianity and told his wife, she abused and exposed him, resulting in his being severely beaten. "No one was willing to let me live the life I wanted [as a Christian]—they say Islam is not a religion of compulsion, but no one has been able to tell me why Muslims who don't find satisfaction in the religion become liable to be killed." He eventually divorced, escaped, and remarried a Christian woman. Now that his family has again discovered his whereabouts, they have resumed threatening him. According to his wife: "Every other day, we receive threatening phone calls…They are now asking him to abandon us and renounce Christianity, threatening that they will kill me and our child."
  • A new report indicates that "on average, eight to ten Christians are being forced every month by fanatic Muslims to convert to Islam, mostly in the provinces of Sindh and Punjab. The victims of forced conversions are often girls from poor backgrounds who are then subjected to harrowing and traumatic ordeals. Most of the girls are vulnerable and unable to defend themselves against extremists because their community is deprived, defenseless and marginalized. Christians, who constitute about two percent of the Pakistani population, are paying a high price for being a part of the minority community." Two such cases from May follow:
  • In an attempt to force her to drop charges against them for raping her 13-year-old niece, a band of Muslims severely beat a pregnant Christian woman causing her to lose female twins to miscarriage. The rapists came when all male members of the Christian household were out working and beat the women "mercilessly." "They murdered our children, they raped our daughter. We have nothing left with us," lamented an older family member. As usual, police ignored both cases: both the raped Christian girl and her beaten family.
  • A 14-year-old Christian girl was abducted and forced to convert to Islam by her uncle, who himself had earlier converted. Pakistani police refused to liberate her, and said she converted of her own free will. According to her father: "After converting, my brother is conspiring against our family and kidnapped Mary with deception."
  • The investigation into the murder of the nation's only cabinet-level Christian, Shahbaz Bhatti, has become mired amid suspicions of a possible cover-up. Lax investigations, a series of freed suspects, and lack of coordination across law enforcement organizations have stalled the case after the March 2, 2011 slaying of the federal minister for Minority Affairs, who was an outspoken critic of, and targeted by, those who support Pakistan's "blasphemy" laws.
  • Christians are being threatened and abused for trying, since 1947, to save their community's graveyard. Despite failing to produce any proof, a retired Muslim official who claims he "recently discovered" that the land really belongs to him has already built a boundary wall, reducing the graveyard to less than a third of its original size, and turned the seized land over to agricultural use. Police, as usual, are failing to react.
Dhimmitude
[General Abuse, Debasement, and Suppression of non-Muslims as "Tolerated" Citizens]

Egypt: A court verdict that was criticized by many human rights groups as "unbelievable" and "extremely harsh" towards Christians was decided according to religion: all twelve Christians were convicted to life imprisonment, while all eight Muslims—including some who torched nearly 60 Christian homes—were acquitted, all to thunderous cries of "Allahu Akbar!" ["Allah is the Greatest!"] in the courtroom. Another Muslim judge in Upper Egypt dismissed all charges against a group of Muslims who terrorized a Christian man and his family for over a year, culminating with their cutting off his ear in a knife attack while trying to force him to convert to Islam after they "falsely accused him" of having an affair with a Muslim woman. And a new report describes the plight of Coptic girls: "hundreds of Christian girls … have been abducted, forced to convert to Islam, and forced into marriage in Egypt. These incidents are often accompanied by acts of violence, including rape, beatings, and other forms of physical and mental abuse."
Eritrea: Activists taking part in a protest outside the Eritrean embassy in London revealed that "Some 2,000 to 3,000 Christians are currently detained in Eritrea without charge or trial… Several Christians are known to have died in notorious prison camps," and "thousands of Eritreans flee their country every year," some falling "into the hands of abusive traffickers, and are held hostage in torture camps in the Sinai Desert pending payment of exorbitant ransoms, or the forcible removal of organs."
Ethiopia: A Christian man accused of "desecrating the Koran" spent two years in prison, where he was abused, pressured to convert to Islam, and left paralyzed. Now returning home, he has found that his two young children have been abducted by local Muslims: "My life is ruined—I have lost my house, my children, my health. I am now homeless, and I am limping."
Greece: Abet Hasman, the deputy mayor of Patras who recently passed away, left a message to be revealed only in his obituary—that, although born to Muslim parents in Jordan, he was "secretly baptized" a Christian (demonstrating how some Muslims who convert to Christianity, knowing the consequences of apostasy, choose secrecy).
Indonesia: A predominantly Christian neighborhood was attacked for several days by "unidentified persons," who set fire to homes and cars. Dozens of Christian families fled their homes, "many fear[ing] the involvement of Islamic extremist groups."
Iran: A prominent house church pastor remains behind bars, even as his family expresses concerns that he may die from continued abuse and beatings, leading to internal bleeding and other ailments; authorities refuse to give him medical treatment. Also, the attorney of Youssef Nadarkhani—the imprisoned Christian pastor who awaits execution for apostasy—was himself "convicted for his work defending human rights and is expected to begin serving his nine-year sentence in the near future." Meanwhile, in a letter attributed to him, the imprisoned pastor wrote: "I have surrendered myself to God's will...[and I] consider it as the day of exam and trial of my faith...[so that I may] prove my loyalty and sincerity to God."
Jordan: After the Jordanian Dubai Islamic Bank decreed that all females must wear the hijab, the Islamic veil or be terminated, it fired all female employees who refused to wear the hijab—mostly Christians, including one Christian woman who had worked there for 27 years. There are suspicions that this new policy was set to target and terminate the Christian employees, as it is they who are most likely to reject the hijab.
Lebanon: A 24-year-old woman, the daughter of a Shiite cleric, who was "physically and psychologically tortured by her father for converting to Christianity three years ago," managed to escape and be baptized by a Christian priest—who was himself then abducted and interrogated to disclose the whereabouts of the renegade woman. In like manner, Muslim assailants fired gunshots at the house of another priest and at a church -- "part of an escalating pattern of violence against local Catholics," in the words of the region's prelate.
Macedonia: After some Muslims were arrested in connection to a "series of murders of Christians," thousands of fellow Muslims demonstrated after Friday prayers, shouting slogans such as "death to Christians!," and calling for "jihad."
Mali: Ever since the government was overthrown in a coup, "the church in Mali faces being eradicated," especially in the north, "where rebels want to establish an independent Islamist state and drive Christians out….there have been house to house searches for Christians who might be in hiding, church and Christian property has been looted or destroyed, and people tortured into revealing any Christian relatives."
Nigeria: Muslim gunmen set fire to a home in a Christian village and then opened fire on all who tried to escape the inferno, killing at least seven and wounding many others, in just one of dozens of attacks on Christians.
Sudan: Without reason, security officials closed down regional offices of the Sudan Council of Churches and a much needed church clinic for the poor; staff members were arrested and taken to an undisclosed location: "Their families are living in agony due to the uncertainty of their fate."
Syria: Jihadi gunmen evicted all the families of a Christian region, "taking over all the homes of the village, occupying the church and turning it to their base."
Uzbekistan: Police raided a Protestant house-church meeting, claiming "that a bomb was in the home." No bomb was found, only Christian literature which was confiscated. Subsequently, 14 members of the unregistered church were heavily fined—the equivalent of 10-60 times a monthly salary—for an "unsanctioned meeting in a private home." Between February and April, 28 Protestants were fined and four were issued warnings for the offence. Three Baptists were also fined for not declaring their personal Bibles while crossing the border from Kazakhstan into Uzbekistan. Fines and warnings were accompanied by the confiscation of religious literature.

The Murfreesboro Mosque Issue Heats up

Hat tip to Mosque Confidential.com for the below-referenced leaked documents.

As the on-going storm over construction of a 53,000 sq ft mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee continues, the local school board is now on the hot spot. Below is a document reportedly sent by the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro to the Murfreesboro School Board with guidelines on how teachers should treat Muslim students.

http://api.ning.com/files/cu8bOrLwDthDKpo2*NKB7MZFj*LkZwY4DnPhVFX8t1Ey-e3VebAoZZcIIbM-bT7PvNnN*VrmqtgNivR0esy-WQ__/teachers_guide1.pdf

The above document was initially leaked by documentary film maker Eric Allen Bell via the below article:

http://www.globalinfidel.tv/page/abdou-kattih

Just in the past few days, Bell also discussed this document with a major Nashville morning talk show and sent the "teacher's guide" to all the local media. It was mostly ignored. However, one DJ, Michael DelGiorno, read the document over the radio.

When conservative media began calling the school board for comment, the board reportedly denied having received any such document. Bell then released an e-mail showing that the school board was in contact with their attorney and the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro itself by phone and by e-mail.  DelGiorno read the e-mail on the air and posted it on his Facebook page.

As of today the school  board is being inundated with e-mails from angry parents objecting to the special privileges for Muslim students. This evening, the board is understandably in an emergency session.

The entire 5-page document sent to the school board will be posted next month by the paper with the largest circulation in the area of the Islamic Center.

Germany Finally Found A Way To Become Judenfrei.

The Nazi government couldn't do it, even with laws, concentration camps, and gas chambers.  Today there are over 200,000 Jews living in Germany.  (They need to have their heads examined for it.)  But now a court in the city of Cologne has found a way to get rid of their Jews.
A German court has ruled that circumcision is a criminal offense, and a Norwegian political party has proposed a law to outlaw the religious practice.

Non-medical circumcision, practiced by most Jews and Muslims, causes bodily harm and therefore is a crime, a Cologne court ruled.

The practice is a "serious and irreversible interference in the integrity of the human body,” the Cologne district court decided, the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The ruling involved the case of a Muslim doctor who performed a circumcision on a four-year-old boy, who later suffered bleeding and was taken to a hospital emergency room. The decision is likely to be appealed to the Federal Constitutional Court.

Holm Putzke of the University of Passau, who has been fighting circumcision for years, told the newspaper, “The ruling is enormously important above all for doctors because it's the first time that they have a legal certainty” that they are committing a crime.

He added, “The court has, in contrast to many politicians, not allowed itself to be scared by the fear of being criticized as anti-Semitic or opposed to religion.”

In Norway, Center Party official justice policy spokeswoman Jenny Klinge said she wants circumcision to be declared illegal, a move that would jeopardize the future of the 700-member Jewish community.

She told the Dagbladet newspaper that circumcision of girls already is prohibited and that the law should be extended to males.

Circumcision is perhaps the most widely-observed religious practice among Jews. Jewish history is marked with those who have risked their lives – and many who have lost them – for upholding the mitzvah that was first performed by the forefather Abraham.

An anti-circumcision movement in the United States last year was stopped when a petition to end the practice in San Francisco was taken off the ballot because it violated state law.

Circumcision has been credited with preventing the spread of diseases, particularly in Africa.

I expect this from Norway.  A nation that blames every problem in the world on the Jews.  But I keep getting told that Germany is no longer like that.  That they refute their Nazi past.  I guess not.  I suppose that eventually they will be returning this the flag they are proudest of:

SP4 Donald Ward Evans, Jr. 23 years old from Covina, California Company A, 2d Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division January 27, 1967

U.S. Army

The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pride in presenting the Medal of Honor (Posthumously) to Specialist Fourth Class Donald Ward Evans, Jr. (ASN: 56413728), United States Army, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving with Company A, 2d Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, in action against enemy aggressor forces at Tri Tam, Republic of Vietnam, on 27 January 1967. Specialist Fourth Class Evans left his position of relative safety with his platoon which had not yet been committed to the battle to answer the calls for medical aid from the wounded men of another platoon which was heavily engaged with the enemy force. Dashing across 100 meters of open area through a withering hail of enemy fire and exploding grenades, he administered lifesaving treatment to one individual and continued to expose himself to the deadly enemy fire as he moved to treat each of the other wounded men and to offer them encouragement. Realizing that the wounds of one man required immediate attention, Specialist Fourth Class Evans dragged the injured soldier back across the dangerous fire-swept area, to a secure position from which he could be further evacuated. Miraculously escaping the enemy fusillade, Specialist Fourth Class Evans returned to the forward location. As he continued the treatment of the wounded, he was struck by fragments from an enemy grenade. Despite his serious and painful injury he succeeded in evacuating another wounded comrade, rejoined his platoon as it was committed to battle and was soon treating other wounded soldiers. As he evacuated another wounded man across the fire covered field, he was severely wounded. Continuing to refuse medical attention and ignoring advice to remain behind, he managed with his waning strength to move yet another wounded comrade across the dangerous open area to safety. Disregarding his painful wounds and seriously weakened from profuse bleeding, he continued his lifesaving medical aid and was killed while treating another wounded comrade. Specialist Fourth Class Evan's extraordinary valor, dedication and indomitable spirit saved the lives of several of his fellow soldiers, served as an inspiration to the men of his company, were instrumental in the success of their mission, and reflect great credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of his country.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom.

For that I am proud to call them Hero.

I Thought I Have Heard It All From Obama

First there were (and still are) the raffles for a date with the President, First Lady and whatever idiot Hollywood "Star" of the week, then asking newlyweds, birthday gals/guys, etc... for their presents instead of the happy couple, etc... receiving them, and now this: right from the campaign:
I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his re-election campaign, if things continue as they have so far.

I'm not just talking about the super PACs and anonymous outside groups -- I'm talking about the Romney campaign itself. Those outside groups just add even more to the underlying problem.

The Romney campaign raises more than we do, and the math isn't hard to understand: Through the primaries, we raised almost three-quarters of our money from donors giving less than $1,000, while Mitt Romney's campaign raised more than three-quarters of its money from individuals giving $1,000 or more.

And, again, that's not including the massive outside spending by super PACs and front groups funneling up to an additional billion dollars into ads trashing me, you, and everything we believe in.

We can be outspent and still win -- but we can't be outspent 10 to 1 and still win.

More than 2.2 million Americans have already chipped in for us, and I'm so grateful for it. As we face this week's fundraising deadline, can you make a donation of $3 or more today?

Every donation you make today automatically enters you to join Michelle and me for one of the last grassroots dinners of this campaign -- today is your last chance to get your name in.

These dinners represent how we do things differently. My opponent spent this past weekend at a secretive retreat for the biggest donors to both his campaign and the super PACs that support him.

I've got other responsibilities I'm attending to.

Donate today to stand for our kind of politics:

https://donate.barackobama.com/June-Deadline

Thank you,

Barack
I guess the magic has gone from Obama.  He has been having trouble trying to raise money for his campaign, even though he didn't have a primary opponent.  Add that to the extensive spending his campaign is doing, and by October he just might be out of money.  I know the Democrats are scrambling to find funds for their convention in Charlotte, North Carolina:
Democrats canceled a political convention kick-off event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and will move the activities to Charlotte’s main business district, the convention’s host committee announced.

“While we regret having to move CarolinaFest away from our great partners at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the City of Concord, we are thrilled with the opportunity that comes with hosting this event in Uptown Charlotte,” said Dan Murrey, the executive director of the Charlotte in 2012 Convention Host Committee.

The move comes as party planners are grappling with a fundraising deficit of roughly $27 million, according to two people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to discuss internal party politics. With a party ban on direct contributions from corporations, the host committee has raised less than $10 million, well short of its $36.6 million goal, said one of the people.

Murrey said that logistics, not costs, were behind the decision to cancel the Speedway event.

“In order to facilitate public caucus meetings -- and to maximize accessibility, transportation, and proximity of all guests -- we have decided that moving CarolinaFest 2012 to Uptown Charlotte is the best way to achieve that goal,” Murrey said in a statement that the host committee released this morning, after Bloomberg reported last night that it may call off the Speedway festival.

But His Majesty the President will still get the large stadium but without the Temple of Obama that he had 4 years ago.

His Majesty Obama is very upset with that.  After all how will people know that he is the Messiah?  And how will the Democrats worship him?

I wonder if the stands will be 1/2 full as they are at most of his events or will the Democrats fill the stands with the homeless and Occupy Wall Street idiots?

Maher Hathout Speaking Appearance in LA

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

On June 24, Maher Hathout of the Muslim Public Affairs Council spoke to an audience of about 25 people at St Johns Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. The event was sponsored by the Guibord Center, headed by Pastor Gwynne Guibord, who was the host and moderator.

Prior to the presentation, a couple of audience members passed around flyers describing Mr Hathout’s background and certain facts about Islam. One of the female pastors saw the flyer and handed it to Guibord. She read it and handed it to Hathout. In introducing Hathout, Guibord objected to the handing out of the flyer without her permission. She then introduced Hathout as a tireless worker for bettering relations. She told us that Hathout had been interviewed by many major newsoutls like CNN, and “even Fox”. Hathout is also on the Guibord Center advisory board. The entire event was filmed and will be appearing on the Guibord Center’s website in a couple of weeks. In addition, a friend of mine captured the event on her I phone.

Hathout spoke from notes for about 15 minutes. He gave a very vague and general presentation defining the terms, Islam and Allah. He said that we have all been talking about each other rather than talking to each other. He said that in the Arab world, Muslims, Christians and Jews all use the word, “Allah”. He stated that it was false to say that the Muslim God was different from the Christian and Jewish God.

“One God. One message. Believe in God, do good and believe all of his messengers including the last one you were not told about“ (Mohammed).

That took us to the Q and A. I was the first. I asked him to explain what the punishment was under Islamic law (hudud sharia) for an apostate-including for apostates who speak out and publicly criticize Islam. I referred specifically to the names of Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Wafa Sultan.

I should state here that Hathout does not give straight-forward answers. Most of the questions were direct about concerns of non-Muslims (all were polite). His answers are long, wandering, and twisted. In regards to apostasy and criticism of Islam by apostates, Hathout stated that things are getting twisted and misinterpreted, He referred us to a book he had written, in which he devoted a chapter to apostasy. He then quoted the “highest authority” the Koran.

“Let there be no compulsion in religion.”

He also quoted the Koran as stating that whoever wants to believe, let them believe, whoever wants to deny, let them deny.” He then made reference to 1400 years of wars, and the Crusades. He said that in his opinion, “punishment for apostasy is fake.” As for him, “anyone who wants to leave is fine.” “People can sling mud", he said. Hathout also stated that in Mohammed’s time, a man had claimed that he, not Mohammed, was the Prophet. When told of this, Mohammed said to leave the man alone. Hathout also said that when the Ayatollah Khomeini had issued a fatwa on Salmon Rushdie, he (Hathout) had condemned it. Further, he stated that the laws of blasphemy are only applied in Pakistan, and that was a carry-over from the British colonial rule when it was punishable to criticize the Church of England.

“This is not Islam“, he stated. That was his answer. He never answered the question, the answer of which is death, a word he studiously avoided.

The next questioner asked about the concept of abrogation (to reconcile conflicting verses in the Koran. It means that the verse which was written later in time abrogated that written earlier). Hathout stated that he was involved in writing a book about abrogation. He said that the concept of abrogation is nonsense, and that it was developed by scholars trying to reconcile contradictory verses. To Hathout, verses written were applicable to a certain event in time, and other verses were applicable to events at another point in time. (I am paraphrasing.) The next questioner wanted Hathout to explain the relationship between Islam and the State. (separation of religion and state). Hathout said that the first example of (mosque) and state was Iran subsequent to the revolution. To this question, he said, even Muslims are confused. “The idea of an Islamic state is a myth“. He also said that we should have a state following the dictates of Islam. Further, he said that the closest thing to Islam is democracy. He also said that criticism of the Saudi royal family is considered heresy. Finally, he said, “Who knows the intent of God?”

A female questioner (Christian) asked why Muslims have such reverence for Jesus if he said he was the Son of God. Would that not be blasphemy according to Islam.

Hathout’s reply was that he (and Muslims) do not accept the Jesus ever made that claim. (“I don’t think Jesus said that.”)

The next questioner said that he was concerned about the gulf between Islam and Western culture. He referred to the previous evening’s event in Manhattan Beach where several apostates told their stories of the fear they have suffered because of their conversion. (This was the Pam Geller-Robert Spencer event, which I also attended. See my post.) Hathout replied , “Oh, you went to that one, huh?”

The questioner then mentioned the Freedom Pledge letter, which was sent by Former Muslims United to 100 top Islamic leaders in the US in 2009. Hathout was one of the recipients. (Only 2 signed the pledge or even acknowledged it.) To this, Hathout stated, “I never received it.”, at which time, I walked up to the table where he was seated and handed him a copy of the letter, which was addressed spefically to him. He took it in his hand and tossed it to the side in a dismissive manner. The questioner continued and asked him if he would read it and sign it here and now. At this point, Hathout took the letter and stuck it in his coat pocket saying he would read the letter, and if it was serious and did not insult Islam, he would sign it.

The next questioner wanted to know why Muslims are not standing up and speaking out about terror and other events happening world-wide. Hathout stated, that “when we speak up we get vilified.” He continued that every major US Muslim organization spoke up after 9-11. Every US mosque condemned it. “Do you want me to write it on my forehead?”

After a coffee break (featuring Green-friendly actual drinking cups instead of Styrofoam), the Q and A continued. A gentleman told Hathout that he had read one of his books, and found him to be very moderate except for one thing-the topic of homosexuality. The question was, “How should a Muslim leader treat this topic in a Muslim-majority county?”

Hathout corrected him stating that the book was written by his brother (Hassan?), and that on this topic, he did not agree with his brother. He said that when most Muslims hear this word (homosexuality) they react as if it were an “allergy”. “I do not agree”, he continued. He thanked the man for bringing up this “taboo subject” and stated that he didn’t understand the issue, but was going to write something on this topic to “fill the hole“.

At this point, a man in clerical collar introduced himself as a retired preacher and proceeded to throw up a two-part softball. He asked in what areas are American Muslims most misunderstood by Christians, and how he could get to make Muslim friends outside of events like these-people whose homes he could visit, etc.

Hathout mentioned 3 main areas- women, jihad and “kill the infidel”, the latter term he stated, was an invention of the Crusades. Here are some points he made. “We don’t want to kill, but we don’t want to be killed.” In Algeria, one million Algerians were killed fighting the French. Religion does not kill people. People use religion to control people. In WW I and II, the Korean War and the Vietnam war, religion played no role. We should remedy violence through religion.

The next questioner was a lady who told of having a Muslim roommate in college, who instructed her never to touch her Koran, and how she was put back by that. Hathout told her he was sorry and that girl “was not brought up right“.

The next questioner (an Arab-American Christian who speaks and reads Arabic) told of reading the Koran and being amazed at the “second-class” references to women, the reference to a husband beating his wife, and asked, “Where are the female imams?”

Hathout stated that in Islamic jurisprudence, a woman can divorce her husband-for any reason. He also said that in Arabic, the word “beat” has 17 different meanings. “Part of our struggle is to correct this misinterpretation,” he said. He also made a reference to Saudi Arabia as a place where a woman could not drive. “There is nothing about that in the Koran“. As to women imams, he gave an example of a woman who had proclaimed herself an imam and had been “cursed” by many, but supported by others. “We are trying to explain the message of Islam, Feed the hungry, the suffering, ect. There was a reference about hate in connection with the 700 Club. “Why do parents reprimand their child for trying to be American”, he asked.

Finally, Guibord asked the final question, another softball. She opened by saying that English is an “object language”, while Arabic is a “process language”. This apparently was a vague issue related to “the Texts”. Her question seemed confusing, at least to me, but she wanted Hathout to explain this. I assume she was trying to open up the idea of misinterpretations of the Islamic texts due to differences in language structure and thinking.

Hathout stated that we need to go deeper into the Texts. He asked why didn’t God create man with one religion? In his opinion, God wanted man to be diverse in every way including in beliefs. Somewhere along the way, there was a reference to conquerors like Alexander the Great, Napoleon and Bush. (As I said, he wanders in his answers.)

After the event, I was chatting with a woman who had been handing out flyers about Hathout. The aforementioned pastor/priest approached us and asked the woman who had produced the flyers, which were not signed. The woman wrote down the name of the man who produced them (who happened to have been in the audience.) The pastor became a bit argumentative and asked why, when a true moderate comes to speak, he is attacked?” At that point, I joined the conversation and told the man that Hathout was not a moderate, and that he had not answered my question. I explained to him what the penalty for apostasy (and blasphemy) is death. I also explained to him that Islam was both a religion and a political ideology, which has a code called sharia, much of which is benign, but containing punishments for Crimes against God (hudud). That, I explained, is where you find things like death for apostates, blasphemers, adulterers and homosexuality. At this, he asked what about all the terrible things Christians did a thousand years ago (or two thousand?) The man continued to be argumentative and finally, I told him with all due respect that he was ignorant and needed to educate himself. He replied in kind and that was the end of conversation. The man then went outside and started an argument with the man who had produced the flyer.

Let me conclude by saying that Hathout is an experienced dissembler. He could not give direct answers to the questions and concerns. His sponsors, the Guibord Center, is obviously, an activist group devoted to putting a happy face on the whole issue. As for the audience and the questioners, everybody followed the protocol and was polite. It was not structured to allow for meaningful discussion or follow-up questions. Nevertheless, we made our points. Others in the audience will have to judge as to whether Hathout satisfied their concerns. I hope to put up a video of this event in the near future.

Last Monday And No Decision About Obamacare

It is another nail biting day.  It is the last Monday in June and the SCOTUS decision on Obamacare has not be handed down yet.  We have to wait on that one.

But the Supreme Court has ruled on 3 cases today:

1.  The court has decided that it is cruel and unusual punishment to sentence juveniles under 18 to Life in Prison without parole
The high court on Monday threw out Americans' ability to send children to prison for the rest of their lives with no chance of ever getting out. The 5-4 decision is in line with others the court has made, including ruling out the death penalty for juveniles and life without parole for young people whose crimes did not involve killing.

The decision came in the robbery and murder cases of Evan Miller and Kuntrell Jackson, who were 14 when they were convicted.

Miller was convicted of killing a man in Alabama. Jackson was convicted of being an accomplice in an Arkansas robbery that ended in murder.
I guess sending them to bed without dinner would suffice for them.

2.  The court has decided that it is illegal to put spending limits on corporations.
The Supreme Court has reaffirmed its two-year-old decision relaxing limits on corporate campaign spending. The justices on Monday reversed a Montana court ruling upholding state restrictions.

By a 5-4 vote, the court's conservative justices said the decision in the Citizens United case in 2010 applies to state campaign finance laws and guarantees corporate and labor union interests the right to spend freely to advocate for or against candidates for state and local offices.

The majority turned away pleas from the court's liberal justices to give a full hearing to the case because massive campaign spending since the January 2010 ruling has called into question some of its underpinnings.
This will make elections a lot more interesting.  I can see Obama trying to blackmail corporations into donating to his cause.  He already has tried to get people to send their wedding, birthday, anniversary gifts to him.

3.  The court has decided that 3 out of 4 provisions of Arizona's Immigration Law was Unconstitutional, but upheld the right of police to check on immigration status.
The Supreme Court has struck down most of the controversial Arizona immigration law, but upheld a key provision.

The provision that was upheld requires state and local police officers, during routine stops, to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect could be in the country illegally.

Other provisions, though, were struck down.

The federal government claimed the law encroached on its authority to enforce immigration law.
At least the SCOTUS has allowed the police to check on a criminal's immigration status.  Given 4 more years of an Obama regime the court will be so far to the left that anyone but immigrants will be considered illegal.

The decision of the Healthcare law will be given on Thursday.  And given this court I fear that this abomination of a law will be upheld.  G-d help us if it is.

A Summer Evening for Human Rights

Gary Fouse

Last night, I attended a three-hour event held at the Marriott Hotel in Manhattan Beach, California. It was hosted by Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) and the American Freedom Defense Initiative. It was called, "A Summer Night for Human Rights" The event was organized by Pam Geller and Robert Spencer. There were well over a hundred people in attendance. The speakers were:

Nonie Darwish
Walid Shoebat
Ibn Warraq
Ramin Parsha
Mohammed Asghar
Bushra Qader
Amani Mustafa
Ishmali Zarouali

Wafa Sultan was also scheduled, but was ill.

Coincidentally, a few blocks down the street, CAIR was hosting something called "A Summer night for Civil Rights", featuring comedy and other forms of  entertainment. Tickets were up to $100 apiece. Our event was free.

The event I attended also had a more serious tone. The evening featured talks by 8 people from various countries, all of whom had been born Muslim, but became apostates. They did so at considerable price. Virtually all of them had been living under death threats, fatwas, and one was actually stabbed multiple times and nearly died from his wounds.

Ms Geller opened the evening by informing the audience that she had been contacted by the police (considerable security was present) and told that CAIR had contacted them (police) expressing concern about the Geller event and that they were concerned about their own security. Geller told them that since all of the people on their panel had been put under fatwa or other threats, it was our event that they needed to protect.

The first speaker was Nonie Darwish, Egyptian-born apostate, who has written and spoken out against the violence and hate within Islam. She was followed by the below speakers:

Another Egypian woman, Amani Mustafa, told of when she was a child seeing her mother convert to Christianity and being told by an imam that she had three months to return to Islam or she would be killed. Her mother refused and was able to leave Egypt for America having to leave her daughter behind with her father. Eventually, the speaker was able to leave Egypt with her two children and come to America, where she now lives. She told of having to move several times around the country to escape being murdered-here in the US, no less. She now operates a Christian ministry.

Meanwhile, down the street, CAIR was hosting "A Summer Evening for Civil Rights".

Walid Shoebat, a former Jihadist himself fighting against Israel, gave his story of conversion to Christianity. He had nothing kind to say about Islam and outlined the design of Jihadists to make Islam supreme here in the US and take away our liberties. He stated emphatically to a roar of applause that our constitution is, indeed superior to Sharia law. Shoebat is a dymnaic speaker and his speech drew the loudest applause, a standing ovation.

Ishmael Zarouali, a young Moroccan man, told of converting to Christianity while studying in France. He was warned by his friends not to return to Morocco, but did. One night, he was abducted off the streets by 4 men who took him to a room and demanded to know why he had left Islam. He was stabbed multiple times and left for dead. He awoke in a hospital. Subsequently, many of his friends, who did not know of his conversion, held a celebration for him and praised Allah that he survived. Little did they know, according to Zarouali,  that the attempt on his life was made in the name of Allah.

Meanwhile, down the street, CAIR was hosting "A Summer Evening for Civil Rights".

Bushra Qader, an Iraqi apostate dentist, who spoke limited English, told of how, while living in Dubai, her daughter had to be taken out of school because she was thought to be a Christian.

Ibn Warraq, an apostate who was born in India and moved with his family to Karachi after the India-Pakistan partition, also spoke. He is the author of "Why I am not a Muslim". Not long ago, Warraq participated in a debate with Islamic intellectual Tarik Ramadan in England, whom he described as a "master dissembler". He told us a humorous anecdote when referring to Ramadan's call for a moratorium on stoning (emphasis mine). He told the panel and the audience that rather be stoned for committing adultery, he would prefer to get stoned- then commit adultery.

Virtually all of the speakers told of their love for America and the ability to practice whatever religion they wished. Here was a group of people from Egypt, Pakistan, Iraq, Morocco, Bangladesh, and Iran all telling the audience about the hate and intolerance they experienced in their homelands because they had left Islam and the appreciation of the freedoms they enjoy today-even though they still get threats.

But why go on? Here is the video of the event, with photos courtesy of Atlas Shrugs.

http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2012/06/sro-in-defense-of-freedom-ex-muslims-finally-heard.html

I know it is 3 hours long, but you need to hear these stories. Then think about that event CAIR was holding at the same time down the street called "A Summer Night for Civil Rights".

Congratulations Egypt! You Have Voted Yourself Into Poverty.

The Egyptian Elections Commission Ruling Junta has declared Muslim Brotherhood-backed candidate Mohammed Morsi the President of Egypt.  This is not really news.  It was all but predicted when the Arab Spring of 16 months ago happened.  This is after the Muslim Brotherhood promising not to run candidates for office in the nation.

Muslim Brotherhood-backed candidate Mohammed Morsi was declared the winner in Egypt's first free presidential election in history by the country's elections commission.

In Tahrir Square, the birthplace of the uprising that ousted autocratic President Hosni Mubarak, joyous Morsi supporters wept and kneeled on the ground in prayer. They danced, set off fireworks and released doves in the air with Morsi's picture attached in celebrations not seen in the square since Mubarak was forced out on Feb. 11, 2011.

In his first televised speech on state TV, Morsi pledged Sunday to preserve Egypt's international accords, a reference to the peace deal with Israel.

He paid tribute to nearly 900 protesters killed in last year's uprising, saying without the "blood of the martyrs," he would not have made it to the presidency.

In a non-confrontational speech, he did not mention the last-minute power grab by the ruling military that stripped the president of most of his major powers.

"I pledge to be a president who serves his people and works for them," Morsi said on his official web page. "I will not betray God in defending your rights and the rights of this nation." He was scheduled to address the nation Sunday night in his first speech after being declared president.

Many are looking now to see if Morsi will try to take on the military and wrestle back the powers they took from his office just one week ago. Thousands vowed to remain in Tahrir to demand that the ruling generals reverse their decision.

On the sidelines of the political drama are the liberal and secular youth groups that drove the uprising against Mubarak, left to wonder whether Egypt has taken a step towards becoming an Islamist state. Some grudgingly supported Morsi in the face of Ahmed Shafiq, who was Mubarak's last prime minister, while others boycotted the vote.

Morsi will now have to reassure them that he represents the whole country, not just Islamists, and will face enormous challenges after security and the economy badly deteriorated in the transition period.

Pro-democracy leader Mohammed ElBaradei urged unity after the results were announced.

"It is time we work all as Egyptians as part of a national consensus to build Egypt that is based on freedom and social justice," he wrote on his Twitter account.

Just one week ago, at the moment polls were closing in the runoff election, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) issued constitutional amendments that stripped the president's office of most of its major powers. The ruling generals made themselves the final arbiters over the most pressing issues still complicating the transition-- such as writing the constitution, legislating, passing the state budget-- and granted military police broad powers to detain civilians.

"I am happy the Brotherhood won because now the revolution will continue on the street against both of them, the Brotherhood and the SCAF," said Lobna Darwish, an activist who has boycotted the elections.

Morsi, the 60-year old U.S.-trained engineer, narrowly defeated Shafiq with 51.7 percent of the vote versus 48.3, by a margin of only 800,000 votes, the election commission said. Turnout was 51 percent.

Also, a few days before that constitutional declaration, a court dissolved the freely elected parliament, which is dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, leaving the military now in charge of legislating.

"The revolution passed an important test,"said Yasser Ali, a spokesman for Morsi's campaign. "But the road is still long."

Full Story
Congratulations Egypt.  You have no industry.  You have no agriculture.  You cannot feed your people.  You have a high rate of infant mortality.  You are very lucky if you live to 70.  Your one industry that brought in foreign currency, TOURISM, is practically gone.  But now you will have Shar'ia upon you.

The Muslim Brotherhood has stated that they will NOT impose Shar'ia Law, but we all know that they break every promise they have made.  So the Egyptian population should be prepared for this:

Nothing says freedom like a burqa or two.

Or this:

Nobody knows what crime this woman did, but to the men it didn't matter.  They just enjoyed the show.
Thieves will lose their hands, adultery will be punish by stoning, gays will be hung.

Heck put it into the public square and the tourists will flock to see it.

And Mohammad Morsi has been stirring the people to war with Israel.  A war in which the Egyptians are ill prepared for.  A in violation of the Camp David Accord.  So much for peace treaties signed by Muslims.

Both President Barack Hussein Obama and Former President Jimmy Dhimmi Carter welcome the result of this election.  Obama by the virtue of promising the Muslim Brotherhood control of Egypt in 2009, and Carter because he want to destroy World Jewry.

I give Egypt until November before they have to attack Israel.  (Or face riots in the streets over the horrible economic conditions and massive hunger in Egypt.)  And I wonder how long the cheering crowds in Tahrir Square will continue to scream when Israel destroys their city, their army and their nation.

What we are seeing is Obama's Foreign Policy at work!

No wonder he is known as The Amateur!

More Questions of the Murfreesboro Mosque

Gary Fouse
fousesquawk
http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

Eric Allen Bell is a documentary film maker who went to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to cover the controversy over the construction of a mega-mosque in that small community. Initially supportive of the mosque builders, the more he learned, the more suspicious he became. Now an outspoken opponent of the mosque for a variety of reasons, Bell is writing and speaking out about the troubling associations of the people behind the mosque project.

Below is Bell's latest article for Global Infidel TV. There is a lot of information contained therein, and I am not in a position to confirm or refute any of the information. I do think, however, that it raises many concerns and should be part of the debate.

I would encourage the reader to note the alleged links between the Murfreesboro mosque and the Muslim Brotherhood. I would also point out the apparent involvement of the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which holds deeds on most of the mosques in the US-their own links back to Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as the people involved with NAIT. I note the presence (as usual) of none other than Muzammil Siddiqi, head imam of the Islamic Center of Orange County, former head of the the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and a member of the Fiqh Council of North America.

I forgot to mention that Siddiqi is also a proud winner of the prestigious "Rusty Award" handed out every year to "community leaders" in Orange County by the OC Human Relations Commission, headed by an empty-suit named Rusty Kennedy, who is currently fighting to maintain funding for this little bureaucracy in spite of wide-spread community opposition.

But I digress. Here is  Mr Bell's article.
